where have you been? / day + night

Hey there, hi there, hello. Mayy here! Well, it's been a crazy few weeks for us, with school back on and me moving out and into a new house. But within the craziness, the two of us decided to have a special night out, and let me just tell you something... it was beyond amazing.
So lets rewind back to 5 days ago....

*rewinding noises: bzzzzz beep boop bopity boo*

OK SO 5 DAYS AGO Sabrina and I spent our day in the city. And this wasn't any outing, like we go to the city all the time, but this time it was different. Something that we'd been waiting for had finally come and every time we'd look at each other, we'd giggle with excitement, and I mean like hardcore fangirl giggles and movements because we were on our way to watching our favourite band ever play. *drum roll please* The 1975 were in Melbourne. THE 1975!!!!

The show was set to begin at 7 so we decided to head out early, to have some time to wander around and have some fun. We discovered some rooftops with amazing views and lane ways in some quirky corners, had some delicious, chocolatey mocha's at the cutest, most elegant cafe that we could find and filled the spaces in-between with conversations varying from super serious, to "omg we're seeing them tonight can you believe it omgmgmgmgmg!!!!?!?!?".

By the time 4:00 pm had come around, we made our way to the arena, and found ourselves stuck in a super long, squishy line from 4:30 to about 7:00 (oh and I didn't mention it was FREEZING).

*fast forward*

The long wait, the frustration and the feeling of having no more limbs due to the cold had been so worth it. The crowd was so lively from start to finish. The supporting act, Cub Sport, came out and screams of joy hyped up the room and once they started playing, everyone was swaying, singing along and just loving every part of their time on the stage. I honestly had no idea who they were at first, but I fell in love instantly, in fact I'm listening to their album right now as I write this. But nothing would compare to the way everyone had reacted when The 1975 appeared. Hearts beating fast, screaming, claps and even tears filled up the room. I kept turning to Sab, screaming at the obvious fact that Matty Healy was right there and about how much I love all of them. It was so... I don't even know how to describe it.... it was everything. They played and sang beautifully, Matty was funny and interactive, he even got us to shut off our phones so that we would all have a moment to connect to one another "and not in a creepy way guys", he said (which made us all laugh) so that the memory would be in our hearts rather than on a video, and he was right, because I don't think I'll ever forget it, or ever hear the song he sang in that moment the same again.

The music and our hearts beating to it, the movement, the lights, the moments where it was okay to let go, be wild and feel just, completely and totally happy. What I'm about to say is cheesy I know, but words will never be able to describe how breathtaking everything about that one night actually was.

By the end of the concert, the both of us couldn't believe that all of that had just happened, that she had attended her first concert ever, that I saw freaking Matty Healy, that our favourite songs were played to us LIVE rather than from our phones and that we screamed so hard that our voices were bound to fade, we just couldn't process it, not to mention, we were dead tired and sticky.
It wasn't what we had expected at all, it was even better.
It was simply, too good. Here's proof:

I'm not even sure how to end this, but I just have one more thing to say...
I love you Matty (freaking gorgeous Matty Healy) and Adam and George and Ross, you guys rock.

Ok so that was a joke but it's true.

What I was actually going to say was that, that particular Sunday was just incredible and left us in awe and the both of us still can't believe it's all over, but we'd do it all over again no doubt about that.

Until next time loves,

Love,
